Maria's Story:
March 2nd, a member of our Burien community, Jairo, left for Guatemala to try and finish the process for Legal Permanent Residency. Because he is undocumented, this was his only option. We don't know whether or not he will be able to come back, and we're hoping and praying for his speedy and safe return.
His wife Maria, is an American Citizen, who has many health issues and is on disability. Jairo was the breadwinner and his absence leaves her with a loss of income. Our family and Burien/White Center Migra Watch Team is raising money to help support her in Jairo's absence.

Goatgirl is the music of performance artist/comedian, composer, musician, vocalist, Jeppa K Hall (Queen Shmooquan). Ivory Smith, a sublime singer/songwriter/musician that has been expanding her edgy horizons out on the fun fringes of Seattle’s adventurous performance art scene for many years. Her collaborations include the bands bloodbunny, Ivory in Ice World and Eat the Apple, as well as composing music for many local modern dance companies and choreographers including: Kt Niehoff/Lingo Dance Theater, Rachael Lincoln, Kris Wheeler, Amy O/Tiny Rage and Amelia Reeber/Foot in Mouth.
Jawbone Puppet Theater is a quirky father/son puppet act in Dockton, WA. We produce puppet shows, events & workshops on Vashon Island & Seattle. We travel around the world spreading, wonder, joy & iconoclastic puppetry. Stick it to the man!

Guiding Principles:
Our work is guided by those most directly-impacted by the policies that support detention, deportation and ICE raids. Our group, focused on South King County, responds to WAISN hotline calls and requests for support, to document ICE activity, stand witness to injustice placed on immigrants and undocumented people and defend those facing discrimination, violence and possible deportation.
